Las Vegas, a city of sin, vice, and money has had a turbulent history. Under Camarilla leadership, Princes came and went, with many keeping Praxis for less than a year. In a city that encourages greed, the Ivory Tower’s ideals fall to the wayside. For nearly a century the Camarilla fought over who would rule Las Vegas like starving dogs fight for a bone. More often than not either the Brujah or the Ventrue were running the show, and over the years even the kine could tell the obvious power struggle between their agents, organized crime and corporations.

That all changed at the turn of this century. Over the years, the Settites had been accumulating a drug empire to supply both factions, and the Giovanni had subtly been taking over hospitality corporations, the unions, and organized crime. In early 2000 the Giovanni made their move, calling in many boons they had accumulated over the years, and Marco Giovanni became Prince, and named a Setite his second in command.

While the Camarilla still has a presence in the city, they have been unable to dislodge the Giovanni/Setite hold on Las Vegas, and it has seemed to become stronger and stronger over the years.

In 2008, the Sabbat lead a crusade against Las Vegas, while increasing activity in several other domains across the United States. The Sabbat ran into much fiercer resistance than expected. Las Vegas, due to a variety of Praxis changes over the years, had several Camarilla veteran fighters, and the city itself seemed quite used to protecting silence of the blood almost on its own, freeing up more resources to fight back against the Sabbat. The Sabbat also found many of their shock tactics against the Camarilla’s mostly humane vampire were far less effective against the callous and inhumane Giovanni and Settites. Las Vegas quickly turned into a meat grinder for the Sabbat, and they decided resources were better spent elsewhere. The Sabbat stopped sending many reinforcements to the packs in Las Vegas, and the crusade has since turned to a guerilla war.

In more recent news, the Giovanni and Settites have formalized their partnership globally, and the Independent Alliance has proven to be very effective fighting against the Sabbat.

For the Sabbat, the Vegas stakes are high, but in the City of Sin, you win big, or die small.

Storyteller Mechanics:

Venue Emphasis: Las Vegas is an independent city, rather than run by a sect. There are elements of all the sects present because of this. The city is run by the Independent Alliance, but the Camarilla still has a strong presence. Many of the outlying towns such as Alamo, Elko, and Pahrump are small Anarch Baronies, who are in need of resources in Las Vegas. And there are established packs within Las Vegas. Everyone is out to get everyone in this dog eat dog setting.

Proxy Rules: All Proxies need to be received 24 hours before game starts.
All Proxies should be complete character sheets, with xp logs, and VST contact information.
Details of your intentions in Las Vegas should be included, the more details, the better, this allows the ST staff to better portray your character.
All Proxies to Las Vegas are hard proxies, please remember this, as character death is not prevalent here, but certainly possible.

Travel Risks: There are several travel risks involved in Las Vegas. The city is not Sabbat territory, and the powers that run Las Vegas are quite happy to kill any member of the Sword they find. The outlying areas are also controlled by Anarchs, who have suffered at the hands of the other sects, and also have little problem killing potential enemies before they ever have a chance to become a danger to them.
